Found this gem on the Sens HF boards: I'm not that upset about being behind in the series. I'm just upset it's the Pens. They literally get away with murder, they hack, slash and deliberately try to injure players. It wouldn't surprise me if Brassard's injury is due to a Crosby hack in the faceoff ...

My favorite part of that is when the crowd begins to die down a bit when it looked like the Senators were finally going to clear the zone and suddenly Rowney comes out of nowhere and has none of that. Didn't we beat someone like 10-1 6 or 7 years ago? Sykora hat trick.. Can't remember who. December...

Are we talking about Ryan's hit on Ruh when his head level was all the way down there like that...I'm not sure that's a penalty at all...I didn't see a high stick, there might have been one, I don't honestly recall...but the hit itself was not a penalty in my eyes...pending the high stick situation...

They have 6 UFA and 6 RFA. But other than Schmidt, not many of their RFA's are earning their desired pay raises, so maybe their cap situation won't be as horrible as predicted?

Some rumors have Kunitz closer than Hagelin, that Hagelin hasn't been skating and is wearing a walking boot.I'm assuming Hagelin will be ready next round. I have my doubts that Kunitz plays again this postseason

Can the Caps series include 7 OT games? That'd be cool I'd rather the Caps lose in 5 and get humiliated Nah, take it to OT game 7 and an Ovechkin turnover on the powerplay give Toronto the goal. That may ne too specific but ideal. I don't wish to make too many demands of the hockey Gods. 1 game at ...

Letang to Undergo Herniated Disk Surgery
I think the only upside to this is that it happened far enough out that 1) the team has been playing 1/3 of the season without him and 2) GMJR knew at the trade deadline this was a very likely scenario and planned accordingly. We have a much deeper group of NHL-caliber defencemen than last year (ass...

Sundqvist, Dea, and Pouliot recalled. I had always understood there was a limit to the call-ups possible except in an "emergency" situation, despite the expanded roster available after the trade deadline. Do I misunderstand the rule? We now have Archibald, Simon, Sundqvist, Dea, Pouliot, Gaunce, Ja...

Sure, but if insurance is routinely paying out $4-7 million a year for players who should otherwise retire, it drives costs up.I'd assume these cases are covered by insurance.

Right - with this situation - I've fallen into the it's a heart or concussion issue. I think the same. I still think concussion. Heart they'd have known it was serious from day 1 about it's seriousness and wouldn't have set expectations, nor would he be in a practice jersey on the ice a few days af...

Only five more years of that contract. If he ends up done (career ender) at some point... just get him a job at the League and then trade his contract to Arizona. Hopefully the Pens would force him to retire rather than have years of LTIR to deal with? Not sure why Dupuis didn't retire, too. Neithe...

The Goalie & The Coach - 2016-17 Penguins Adjusted Goals Against
I'll be interested to read the critique here of Fleury's play in the Ottawa game after further review. I understand that his stat line sucked, that he lost sight of the puck and didn't get under the crossbar for the third goal, and got no push and maybe reacted badly to the fourth. But I also can't ...

Which Cup felt better?
I enjoyed this Cup run more, because after they blitzed the Caps on March 20, I was confident they were going to win the Cup. Then to humiliate Lundqvist in Round 1, and then beat the Regular Season Champions Caps was just wonderful. And I don't think beating San Jose as the Finals opponent is any b...

More insight to the trade from DK : And not just because of Kessel’s aforementioned ability to one-time. It’s actually much more about his uncanny ability, perhaps better than anyone since Jaromir Jagr’s prime, to step off the boards, dart into the slot and create his own offense. Kessel can one-ti...

I see game 5 as a rapid and fair repayment by the Pens for some terrible hockey this fall and some tickets that were unsellable, even at face value. I will relish every moment at the CEC.Wouldn't sell for anything.Money well spent, IMO.
