Police earning the hate

Cops should not be killing guilty people. Cops should not be killing innocent people. Cops should not be killing anyone. Just one man's opinion. :thumb: Right, a cop shouldn't be making a final judgement on a person. But also like NAN says, they have a right to self defense like you or I. It should...

https://twitter.com/JoshuaPotash/status/1298317618877800448?s=19 This is a multiple tweet thread, all screenshots or quotes of the same exact tweets over multiple accounts. Bots going hard trying to turn black voters off of Dems. Definitely bots, but I don't see how this is a persuasion tactic. Thi...

Race wheels finally got delivered from my March order...except only 3 of 4 showed up. Might have to stick to oval racing for a while.

He actually followed Helio through, and if you didn’t recognize the yellow car you’d have forgotten he was even in the race. Still hard to believe Mike Hull got snookered on strategy and advised Dixon to let Sato through thinking they all still had to conserve some fuel.

Had a family friendly pool, won by my oldest who didn’t leave the couch the whole race. My middle one gave up when Rossi crashed. My youngest just liked the opportunity to snuggle dad (he’s a Hinch fan).

I definitely thought convalescent plasma therapy has been in use for several months. It has been, but not super widespread nor with any particularly good effect. We talked about it in the COVID thread as far back as April. I mean, this therapy for infectious diseases has been around for like 100 ye...

Police earning the hate

I don't think they were worried about him driving away. They were worried about him reaching into his car and pulling out a weapon. That's the whole reason why they were telling him to not move and to stop moving towards the vehicle. Right, and if the officer sees him reach for a gun, then its just...

Exactly CBear. The bar for a cop to shoot anyone is ridiculously low. Sure he could have been getting a gun but maybe he was getting a phone, drink of water, identification... a million other things. Maybe he was just going to drive away. I totally understand that in the USA today walking away from...

It's still 100% in my area at the grocery store, Target, Petsmart, HD/Lowe's. Same here; we've had pretty solid compliance with the mask stuff the whole time, and I think since March I've only had one in-store encounter with an anti-masker (who was wearing a political t-shirt, I won't get specific ...

Is the kids' welfare in danger?
Does the officer see the person with a weapon?

If the answer to both of these is no, I don't care if he gets in and drives away. I've never seen somebody sentenced to death for resisting arrest or assaulting a police officer.

Reports are they did attempt to taze him at some point. Also, with three officers on scene you don’t let him get to the car, that has children in it (which one of the officers should have scoped out upon arrival) if you believe he’s a threat. I mean there’s literally no excuse other than the kids in...

I don’t know how this is even possible, but I’ve lost 20 lbs. since covid started. There’s your positive news for the weekend.
I lost ten in the two months I was WFH, put it all back on and a couple more in the first 3 months back in the office

Legally speaking, yeah they're victims of fraud.

But do you think any of those people see themselves as victims of a crime?
They do now that there isn't a wall.

If it's campaign donations, that's debatable.

Like was said, they'd already made 95% of the cuts they were trying to make by the time he said they'd stop making cuts. Then he went to Pelosi and said exactly what that article says, they're not planning on undoing any of the damage they've previously done. He tried to use the suspension of activi...

Our TruGreen rep would bill us for visits he didn't actually make, and then blame it on being a new house with an address he couldn't Google map.

Apparently he was telling a story about being in San Fran for the WS right before the commercial break, so chances are he was referencing that and not the classic Blazing Saddles line (the Red's are playing Kansas City tonight).

I'm sure this is all Obama's fault. He should've stood up a more resilient pandemic task force. I think he should have kept the pandemic handoff to the Trump admin down to one paragraph instead of the 40 odd pages. Two much readin, amirite? Who got time for that?!? With pictures.
