Kids and Sports

I coach 7th,8th,and 9th grade football at our school. I’m very upfront with parents and players that it’s a transition from youth football to varsity football. I’ve had very few problems with parents over the years. I make sure every kid gets to play and try to go easy with the schedule (no weekends...

Thinking about what the powerplay could look like this year, who are the options to take Kessel’s spot? I assume we’d want a rh shot there. I’ve been trying to convince myself that Letang’s shot might actually be able to hit the net from there with Schultz taking over at the top of the umbrella.

we just went to the Justice of the peace.. in and out in 5 minutes. 44$. Short and sweet. We are both people who don't like to do big events though. I think it's silly to drop tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding, but if that is your thing and you got the cash.. more power to you. not that I'm...

Related to my above post. We need to be at the venue in Ambridge at 5 PM tomorrow. I would like to check into the hotel first by the airport. Assuming we leave around 11:30-12 tomorrow morning; would we be better off taking 70 out to 79 and coming up that way as opposed to driving through the city?...

Any suggestions for good food in state college? Brew pubs: -Otto's Fantastic food, and the beer is good depending on what you get. They hit more than they miss. They also have my absolute favorite dish in State College. They smoke chicken thighs, then fry them to get the skin crispy and serve them ...

I was thinking of random towns in PA today. What smaller towns in PA do yinz like to drive through/spend time in? I always thought Philipsburg was a beautiful town, I used to love driving through there on the way to the Clearfield Fair. I like Saltsburg too. Brookville, Gap and Ridgeway. Close by, ...

Well after driving to the hospital in a snowstorm, a 51 hour labor, c-section, low glucose, low temperature, jaundice, and 8 days in the hospital, we finally brought our son home today. I don't know how anyone could be in the hospital any longer than that. I was going major stir-crazy in there.

unless Bleuger gains some traction Can't happen. Not enough veteranosity to play. Sheary, Rust, Wilson, Guentzel and Kuhn . Pretty key components to the cup runs, I’d say. Not veterans (though I still know very little about Wilson. Not even sure he existed). This weird thing Sully is doing is new. ...

Better chocolate, Sarris or Daffins?

Can we add a third voting option for Boyer's?
I always thought Boyer's was awful. Gardner's was vastly superior. They sold to Sarris awhile back though.

The refs were definitely bad. The first PI was the worst call of the season. But the refs didn't make them give the ball to Steven Ridley on 3rd and 2 and a half, or call a fake punt to give the all-time passing leader a short field, or make Juju cough the ball up when he was in field goal range.

1. The officiating was bad
2. They had chances to overcome it and win the game.
3. They failed to make the necessary plays to actually win the game.

I remember Ekman leaving the ice with some sort of weird injury mid-shift. They opened the door to the runway while play was going on.

Pretty sure he hasn't been back on since #metoo took hold.
He was on today.
