A few random thoughts on some movies that I’ve watched during this quarantine. Creed II – Pretty entertaining, not as good as the first one. The writing seemed a little lazy like they just combined the plot of Rocky II and III with the characters of Rocky IV. Jay and Silent Bob Reboot – Bad. Really ...

It might have “some merit” but realistically it won’t work. More realistic is getting the testing done to have an idea of realistically how many people had the disease and when it’s safe to open things back up for all. I think it’s safe to say that a very large percentage of people have had it. I d...

My parents did an online store pick up at our Lowe’s and the store brought it out to their car with no contact. Not sure if all Lowe’s are doing that. They called out and told them they were limiting contact with people because they were in the high risk/senior citizen category.

COVID-19

Is there any way that this thing ends (everything completely back to normal) without everyone getting the virus at some point? This thing is never going away. It's a new disease that will hang out there. These precautions are to stem the flood into the health system and give us some time to develop...

This was the breakdown from that Lancaster online article: • Age 0-4: Less than 1% • Age 5-12: Less than 1% • Age 13-18: 1.5% • Age 19-24: 12% • Age 25-49: 39% • Age 50-64: 28% • Age 65 or older: 18% I've seen this in a bunch of different articles. The age ranges seem odd to me. 25-49 seems signific...

DST is great.

Extra hour of daylight in the evenings to walk the dog/play with my daughter outside, and "solar noon" is an hour later so you get that afternoon warmth a little later in the day.
A good post
This is correct. I support permanent DST. I don’t care how dark it is in the morning.

3 SOTU Thoughts: 1. Why do the VP and Speaker even need copies of the speech? Why can't they just listen to it like every other member of Congress? 2. Can we end the "special guests"? Every person that gets introduced just drags the whole thing out longer than it needs to be. 3. How refreshing would...

Is the lineup the Pens will ice tonight better or worse than the 2010-11 lineup which had both Malkin and Crosby out, and Jordan Staal as 1st line C Game 1 vs Lighting in the playoffs that year: Neal-Letestu-Kovalev Kunitz-Staal-Kennedy Dupuis-Talbot-Conner Rupp-Adams-Asham Letang-Orpik Michalek-Ma...

I always think of Sunshine of Your Love for Goodfellas even more than Layla. That song just fit perfectly for the scene.

The NFL is a league populated by some of the morally worst people we have in this country. I am no longer surprised by the actions of any of them on or off the field.

That's one of the perks of living in a small town. $5.50 per adult ticket. I have know idea how our theater stays in business. It also always gets movies the first weekend they're released.

So is Thomas going to get a call from the league office today, or are we now cool with attempts to decapitate quarterbacks using the crown of our helmet? I wouldn't mind the kids getting paid, but if there isn't some organization to it, it could create some HUGE advantages to the larger schools with the big alumni bases. NCAA needs to figure out something that everyone can work with before the states/players/schools go nuts. If you've ever had to pa...

I'm hosting a bachelor party the first weekend in Oct up in Saint Mary's. We rented a cabin out. Friday's meals will be mountain pies, and I've always wanted to invest in a decent iron. Thanks. I will be getting the Rome double one.
Odd destination for a bachelor party.
