COVID-19

Our high school started offseason football workouts last week. Coaches wear masks, players do not. Weight room is 50% occupancy and every player needs to bring their own water bottle. Temperature checks before each workout and no locker rooms available yet. We’ll see how things go. Seems tough to so...

I think I've posted about 5 times on this topic now, but it's finally happening. I drew up plans to add a family room and full bath to our basement. I'm going to do polystyrene panels, 2x3 framing, and then is R11 overkill? I already also have exterior insulation. Should I Drylok what already has a...

We were supposed to go to Sandbridge island, VA this week. Too many people we had going with us were high risk for Covid so we cancelled. Instead I’m drinking miller high life on my mother-in-laws deck in Uniontown.

Are there any laws or regulations regarding tossing out satellite dishes? We have one on the back of my house (bolted to the chimney) from the previous owners and it is a friggin eyesore. Just want to get it out of there. On a somewhat related note, am I the only one that has gone through the power...

I did a curbside pickup at Lowe’s on Saturday. It took about a half hour for them to bring it out (which I assume is because nobody else is doing that anymore). While sitting in the car I saw less than five people wearing masks going in and half the people working there had them around their necks. ...

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HF7ZNPM?tag=outsidepursuits-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1 This was included on a list of best outdoor projectors (budget). Anyone have any thoughts? Basically, I just want something bright enough and not blurry for sports. HD would be great, but not a deal breaker for how little ...

This may have been covered here already, but I couldn't find it if it was. I'm looking for recommendations for a fairly inexpensive projector just to use in my back yard. I'm assuming lumens are the most important thing to look for? I'm only going to be using it for occasional movies and if sports e...

You know what really grinds my gears...

We have two pots with strainers built into the lids. Every time my wife cooks and I clean up there’s one of those pots and a **** regular strainer that both need washed.

In my experience with high school students, they will take those masks off any chance they get. Especially in rural areas where at home they hear how much it "infringes on their rights".

Hopefully better treatments and testing is developed this summer and a vaccine is developed sooner than later. Have there been any discussion on safety protocols? If one player tests positive, that could spread quickly and kill the season. That seems like the biggest problem with trying to play any sports during this. What do you do when a player tests positive? Quarantine? Shut the whole thing down? Not to...

Yeah, insulation, wiring, etc. It just seemed easier to do it that way. I didn't do any plumbing down there since there were no rough ins and we have a powder room literally right at the top of the stairs. I would've liked to put in a half bath, but ended up not spending the money on it.

Until the whole state is green or just the region? Seems like piaa sports would have to be the whole state.

The guy at Sherwin Williams asked if I had the gallon of paint with me and I said yes and went to hand it to him and he says “do you just want to keep it? We can’t use it.” Looks like I’m going to be painting that bathroom we hadn’t planned on painting.

If I have to let some random person take my temperature every time that I want to go out in public, I guess I really don't want to go out in public.

Also, if I have a fever on that day, I probably didn't for 5-14 days and spread the virus to everyone in line to get their temperature taken.
