I was taught to play my wedges toward my back foot when I was getting lessons 14 years ago. I feel like I play my 7 and 8, sometimes 9 depending on how I'm swinging that day, in a more neutral position.

IMO I think it speaks to how much the PGA bungled this whole thing and went back on their word of not merging.
