Luongo is the one being questioned out of the four...? That's a little strange to me...
TIL mikey hates Swedes;)

I think all four are somewhat weak inductees, but I can live with them. What is the case for Alfie? Top 5 in scoring once? Longevity?

Pens Extend Bryan Rust

We have about three years left as outsiders for the Cup. Then we will be quite bad anyway. So it doesn't matter so much if we have some overpaid players a few years after that. This is why I can give a player such as Letang a five year contract if he wants to and/or it reduces his cap hit. The value...

Come on Avalanche. One more to go to avoid a Lightning victory.

The picture with six Avalanche players on the ice seems a bit iffy, but they won anyway

Yeah, I get that. Additionally, we get younger. My main issue is that such a trade makes it almost impossible for us to keep Letang and Malkin.

The two dudes with Russian names seem useful and quite young, which is a plus. Would Chicago give up both of them to get rid of Johnson and acquire Kapanen?

Is Johnson still a useful player? He is signed for two more years with an NMC. I don't want him to be another Tanner Pearson that Sullivan refuses to dress. I think Pettersson is a useful player but that his job can be done by a cheaper player. Ideally, I would like us to gain cap space by moving hi...

I am satisfied as long as Tampa does not win.

I would appreciate if the winner of the Western team wins it. Preferably Colorado that has a team with more than two players.

I know that number 21 does not play until Crosby retires, but I would like to keep it if possible. We lose a lot of borderline useful stuff for a Fiala that probably wants to get paid. Fialas numbers look great, but his cap hit would mean that we say goodbye to either Letang or Malkin? Even if we ca...

@Lelldorin yo man, I need you to get back my $300 USD (that's like 55 trillion crowns or whatever you guys use) from Johan Garpenlov. You'll receive a 20% finder's fee for your trouble... I am on it! Do you accept an offer where you take over his contract instead of the cash? Perhaps I could even t...

Basing your roster decisions on what could be on waivers is a little tough... Also, those early season waivers are really logistically tough...you had guys all camp, all preseason, maybe been in the organization for years...and then the day before the season starts, you get a guy off the heap and t...

I can't remember any names from the top of my head, but I believe I thought there were some useful players available at the beginning of this season... Pouling, Legare or Zohorna for example. My video game move would also be to play our rookies until the last cuts from the other teams are made. It could be a chance to claim a young D and F. I think it could be fruitful even if the players have been waived by the deepest teams in the league.

Don't forget to factor in the Fleury money.
I don't see how they would fit him under and cap and I don't see him playing for 2mm. Maybe in the last year of Sid's contract.
Fleury is quite old, so I think he could retire quite soon, and hopefully play for 2 million here for his last season

Hmmm...
Letang 5x9
Malkin 5x7
Rakell 5x5
Heinen 3x2
Kapanen retained 3x3.2 because I hate losing an asset for free
Boyle 1x0.75 - can split the work load with Carter so the later is fresh for the playoffs

Trade Pettersson for a bag of pucks

5 million? left for a backup goalie and a #5 D.

Give Letang 5 x 9 million if he demands it. The team will be bad anyway when Crosby retires so the last years does not matter. I posted a list of the best D man on the Cup Winning teams during the 2000s and our last win is almost the only exception to that you need s true #1 D to win... Edit: And I ...

Very, very early ranking on the likelihood of players staying, based on what information is circulating now... 1. Malkin 2. Rust 3. Letang 4. Rakell Obvious disclaimers apply, of course...but I think that's about where we're at at this moment in time... I will be a sad panda if this is the outcome....

I’m not happy about it. It sucked when they scored. But it’s all done and I don’t carry this **** with me anymore following those two Cups. That Boston sweep ruined summer 2013. This is a bummer but understandable. Agreed. I am still mad about the handling of Igilna. We had a loaded team that year,...
