Anyone ever see Battle Royale (or, better yet, read the book)? Stumbled across it while cleaning out old movies on my computer. Outstanding movie, though incredibly graphic for the lighthearted.

The day I upgraded cablecard tuners was the first time I ever had an issue with Comcast. I did exactly what the guy who originally installed it did - hung up and kept calling back until I found someone who understood how to troubleshoot them. I remember walking the Comcast rep through how to pair m...

I watched Jurassic World last night. Until about halfway through the movie I thought I was going to rate it at 5 stars, but then some ideas crept into my brain. The redhead in white kept running through the jungle in high heels. The dino animations, honestly, felt better in previous movies. Detail ...

Lots of TiVos (Roamio Plus, Premiere 4, HD) and an Amazon Fire TV Stick for me. Any interest in the Bolt? I think I'm the only person online say they like the like the physical design. But it needs way more tuners for a house with more than one person/ http://zatznotfunny.com/2015-10/tivo-cmo-ira-b...

What I'm saying is not "shame on you guys for not doing anything". That's ridiculous. What I am saying is for the amount of crap they've gotten in various places online and here, at least they're actually doing something, even if it isn't huge. From my perspective, those same people who think Anony...

but you won't find a single coach in the world that looks good when the players won't play for them. Is that the coach or the players? I mean, the coach always takes the hit, regardless of whether that's the true issue. The last number of games? Absolutely the players. They have no excuse for how t...

My point is, Anonymous isn't some well-defined organization that has members. It's literally anyone on the internet who doesn't have an alias. Ask anyone in the IT Security field - Anonymous is much more than "anyone who doesn't have an alias". They pose a significant cyber threat to anyone they ch...

It's only a matter of time before Pouliot is recalled, but we have far bigger issues than Clendening not playing (IMO, he should be). I have been very okay with Scuderi, for the most part, this year.

This is true, but if you're looking for a low end model to save a few bucks, you could wind up with a dud that doesn't even supply what it's rated at.

^ Same here. I'd have been more pissed if they DIDN'T acknowledge that there's a big problem. Here's hoping that a player's only meeting gets the point across, because those last two games were completely on the players.

Yeah, but you need to be aware of the fine print, too, like making sure you purchase the correct RAM, buying a power supply large enough to power all of your components, etc. It's not difficult, but it's definitely something that a person would want to read up on and understand beforehand. Step 1, h...

Ah, it's a desktop. That's a little different then. Try pressing the Windows key and then "P". This should bring up a menu (assuming Win7 or newer), allowing you to choose your display. Unless you have a fancy keyboard with built-in custom function keys, a standard MS keyboard won't have what you'd ...

This may be a dumb question to ask, @mikey, but when you connect your laptop to your TV, are you then hitting the correct function key to move the video output to the HDMI source? If not, then it sounds like maybe the TV is actively waiting 10 minutes to check for input.

@NashvilleCat - That's quite large, though I do think later versions of Outlook help in that area. An upgrade to an SSD would definitely help, IMO, especially if you have a lot of items in single folders. Out of curiosity, do you know if your PST file is from an earlier version of Outlook, where the...

129803 I still find it best to just boot to CD (or USB in UEFI mode) and start from scratch. I would not recommend someone do a clean OS install from scratch on a new system if they're not already proficient. Mainly because I don't want to end up endlessly troubleshooting the process with them on a...

Personally, I wouldn't consider anything other than a Samsung EVO if I were buying an SSD. I own a mix of 840s and 850s, and for the price you simply cannot beat them. While Samsung (and basically every other manufacturer) does provide data migration software, I still find it best to just boot to CD...
