just completed my first (virtual) 5k (walking) with a time of 1:02, average of pace of 19'56"
my ultimate goal is to walk the (virtual) Peachtree Road Race (10k) Thanksgiving weekend.
maybe when COVID is a distant memory I'll come up to Pittsburgh and do the Lemieux 6.6k.

My liberal indoctrination school might glossed over this subject but not to worry, I've seen Schoolhouse Rock's Bill Becomes a Law.
as usual, it all comes back to The Simpsons

the true upcoming test will be Thanksgiving and Christmas as people say "f*ck it!" and travel to their out-of-state relatives anyway.

LEGO folks are crazy. my buddy's house is like walking into a LEGO/Star Wars store. for awhile he had a part-time job (full-time gig is a poly sci professor) at the local LEGO store putting displays together, pretty much just for the employee discount.

I have a big box of now discontinued, unopened LEGO sets - mostly Star Wars, the Back to the Future DeLorean, and few others. I’m going to wait a few more years and double or triple my money on them. Unopened Star Wars sets get ridiculous prices. I really wanted to buy more of them, but the family ...

One “”””new normal”””” change that I think will actually stay around long term are the QR code menus at restaurants. At least with cheap, frillless places It makes too much sense. You can update it easily (menu items, prices, etc), don’t have to worry about passing them out and whatever and its muc...

that poor kid. I know he was just crushed and Don Cherry was railing about the Delay of Game penalty this morning but the penalty was designed for this. Whitecloud could've made a play to skate the puck free but instead took a chop and got a bad bounce. sucks but that's they way it is.

There is going to be controversy no matter what. And if Trump touts it, forget about it. Theyre not going to give you an unsafe vaccine. They just aren't. Thinking otherwise is Bill Gates microchip level lunacy. I think Trump would encourage them to but so far, it looks like Big Pharma has morals (...

I know most of y'all probably don't watch much in the way of LPGA but today, they held the final round of their major out in the California desert (107 degrees ftw) and the winner, Mirim Lee, chipped in for birdie at 6, chipped in for birdie at 16, and then chipped in for eagle at 18 while down 2 t...

Cam with the walk-in TD to get things started in NE.
It would kind of be hilarious if NE was still godly while Brady sucks in Tampa.
I have minimal expectations for the Pats this year. a QB who can run will be an interesting change of pace though.

Not to mention the Vegas fan base getting taken down a couple of notches. Vegas was jobbed last year by that 5 minute major BS vs San Jose. granted, they still didn't have to let all those goals in but still. if Dallas does go all the way, there's only one Star that deserves the Conn Smyth and it's...

Gateway computers are back. My first personal purchase of a computer was a Gateway, after my parents buying one for the family years prior. Pretty sure most of my friends had one, too. The price point is very good on them for what appears to be entry level hardware. I think mine might've been too. ...

I made birdie or par on more than half the holes in my round on Thursday and was nowhere close to breaking 80. When I make mistakes, I go big on them. :face:
when you get to play courses in cities that you're working, do you bring your clubs with you or borrow some?
