NHL Games

Wooo Karlsson is dominating this game. He's always been a pretty decent hitter when he throws his body around, which is pretty much never, but I've never seen him like this.

Randomness Dos

The NHL lottery got me thinking about a probability question and I'm a few years removed from my statistics classes so I'll pose it here: at the point where it was just Edmonton and Buffalo left to be revealed, what was each team's respective probability to get the first pick? Is it as simple as 50...

Bleh. Screw Edmonton. Good for their fans and all that, but that management doesn't deserve this with the clown show they've been running the past few years. I hope they can surround him with the right players soon so the early part of his career isn't wasted. Most of my anger stems from a personal ...

Also the video of Lapierre posted on the Pens site is great. He's in total troll mode and seems to bring a lot of good energy to the bench. I don't know if it has any sort of tangible impact but it's entertaining to watch.

Meow's Morning Meeting - 4-18-15 vs. NYR

I can't see this team surviving 4 rounds without Letang. It will take superhuman efforts from Crosby, Malking, and Fleury which you can't rule out, but it'll be tough. The most disappointing on-ice result of Tanger's injury is I think this team is a strong Cup contender with him in the lineup, witho...

Disgusting, just so unnecessary.

I wasn't able to catch the game tonight but it sounds like we played really well, hopefully we keep it going on Monday.

Meow's Morning Meeting - 4-17-15 vs. NYR - GAME 1

although it's all moot, since last time i checked, crosby is still sabotaging the power play by continuing to park his stubborn ass on the right boards. getting an extra 6 minutes with an extra man isn't going to do a whole lot. I thought he was playing the Neal role of hovering in the middle of th...

Clippers-Spurs should be a great series. The rest of the first round is pretty meh. The second round is where things will start to get good but it's hard to envision anything other than GSW-SA and Cavs-Hawks in the conference finals.

lol screw Subban. I don't know if that should have been 5 and a game but still, that's one of those unnecessary cheap shots he throws around a little too often

Metro Semis Series Thread: Pens vs. Rags

I'm going heart over head and voted Pens in 6. The Rangers are a very good team, but not unbeatable by any stretch. If Crosby, Geno, and Fleury all play well we'll take them down.

Roundtable discussion for 5AF NHL Awards Ballots - SUBMIT YOUR BALLOT!

That was part of the thing that always bothered me with Toews being listed as a top 3 player in GM polls or whatever. Really, looking at the two of them, what is the difference between him and Kopitar? Toews is probably slightly better on defense, while Kopitar is a bit better on offense. But they'r...

Roundtable discussion for 5AF NHL Awards Ballots - SUBMIT YOUR BALLOT!

Wyshinski was on the BS Report yesterday and mentioned that Bergeron was a top 5 player in the league :face: Surprisingly, that is not the podcast to listen to if you want any sort of intelligent hockey talk.

I have no problem with super skinny women but I don't really find Gisele to be as attractive as everyone else seems to. Her face is pretty but not amazing IMO.

Here's another camera angle of the hit that Doan was not penalized for: http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Ryan-Wilson/New-Camera-Angle-of-Violent-Shane-Doan-Hit-On-Kris-Letang/177/67663 That looks worse than the original TV view. Man, he hit the boards fast/hard. The look on his face he had still ling...

Brooks Orpik

I would have loved to have Brooks here for this year. He'll probably be pretty decent next year as well. But that contract will be an albatross in a few years and there's no way we should have given it to him. A 2 year ~$10 million offer was about all I would have been in favor of offering and obvio...

Tom Watson's antics at the Ryder Cup really made me sour on him.

Tiger should be on the course now. My productivity at work is about to fall from near zero to subzero.

Crosby or Malkin, who would you keep?

Neither, but if forced I would keep Crosby. He's younger, cheaper, and less injury prone. These guys are so similar production wise that these factors would probably make me lean Crosby.

☣☣ OFFICIAL GDT PENS @ SENS 4/7 7:30 ☣☣

Well that wasn't fun. It seems like the same script plays out in every big game: Pens light the world on fire for the first 20 minutes. Some cracks start to show but Fleury manages to keep them off the board until late in the 2nd. Then we don't touch the puck again for the rest of the game unless we...

Give me the cold over the stomach flu any day, I find vomiting to be one the most unpleasant experiences in the world. Luckily I'm hardly ever sick and have a non-alcohol related vomit streak that would rival Jerry Seinfeld's.

I saw Semin scored his 6th goal of the year tonight and I just assumed he had missed 60 games. Hard to believe he can't find a way to score a goal every 3 games (or 4 or 5 or 6 or 7...) with his shot. Dude was a nightmare in '09 when he'd unleash a rocket from the slot. Lucky enough for us, he seeme...

I was able to hit the range today for the first time this year, I'm hoping to get on the course over the weekend. It seems like my game always peaks during the first couple months of the season, that's when my swing is the most free-flowing and natural. After that I start to develop some bad swing h...

I've been hanging at LGP by myself for the past week trying to figure out what the hell happened. I felt like Rick during the first episode of TWD.

I really like the looks of this place though :thumb:
