I’d love to hear that guy explain where that rusty dust pan came from. There is a greater than 90% chance it was a hand me down from his dad, and his dad got it from the homestead works n'at.

Speaking of Fuddruckers near Pittsburgh...

Who made the point the other day about the use of "yinz" not being the biggest mark of a yinzer? Here's your proof.

I'm not gonna watch that but did they rearrange the first letters of each restaurant to spell FAUCI or something stupid like that? I watched... it's just a list of franchise restaurants that are closing places. I don't get the text in the tweet, though: "What do you notice about this new list of re...

If I don't believe it yet, I guess I'm never going to believe that otherwise seemingly sane people read that ish and still want to vote for the guy, because "sanctity of life" or "Biden's policies are worse" or whatever.

I’m glad my daughter wanted to stick with one sport. Being forced to watch softball or some other lame **** would be brutal. I don't mind watching softball, but it was really bad earlier in the season when no one could pitch. Watched the other team take a 9-0 lead through two innings without a sing...

Eff cancer.

Saw him once when he was doing a Providence/ND game for NBC. That’s the extent of my Bill Walton stories.

I quit giving target completion times. too many variables. I got chewed out once for not having a brisket ready on time. No guarantees if it’s going to be done right.

My SIL cancelled her Memorial Day/Birthday barbecue because her township cancelled their parade. Weird, because the rain is supposed to hold off over there until 3pm at least, so now we're on our own. Had to go to Fresh Market to get burgers, etc. because I have nothing that's not frozen right now....

I’m having this same debate in my head right now. I have a 7 pounder that I’m debating whether to start it in the oven low tonight. Or just throw it in the smoker at 275 on the (early) morning. Started mine at 7 AM, 275, wrapped in foil after 4 hours (was 160 at that time) was at 200 by 5. It was f...

I'd love to see a debate between DK and Pittsburgh Dad Jr. about the state of Downtown. Pittsburgh Dad Jr. would probably get beat up again
Wait I thought he was undefeated in the streets

I’ve kept it between 250-275. Started at 7 am and I’m stalled on 174 for a couple hours now. I’d think it should be ready for dinner.

I think 225 for 20 hours or whatever is nonsense. I’m not that dedicated to the craft that I’d lose sleep over it.

Lazzara's is the one we like. Yes there's a Publix now, it opened in 2017 or so, We first went there in 2018 and it was open then.

Last we were there was August, 2020 so peak COVID. Will be glad to be back there during "normal" times again.

Smoking a 10 lb pork butt today. Local butcher had them on for $1.99 a pound a couple months ago and I bought three. Not sure why I bought a 10 pounder though. Gonna take a while.

Headed to Emerald Isle next week, first time in 4 years. Except for a shark fishing expedition, no plans whatsoever except sitting on the beach and drinking. We’re heading to pine knoll shores next week. Can’t wait. We pop into Emerald Isle a night or two to grab dinner and my kiddo loves walking t...

Guess I don’t know where else to put this and maybe we need an all sports threat like those dodint PU fans have but… PSU baseball just made its first B1G tournament final since 2000 with an opportunity for their first CWS berth since 1973. Speaking of vintage record players, I just bought a 1948 Philco 1405 that has two arms, one for 33s and another for 78s. Never seen that before. My father in law is real into restoring vintage record players/radios (retired dudes, right?) so he’s currently fixing it up for us. Not my photos: https:...

The tube sound is what did it for me. We were listening to the various units with the owner while I was trying to decide, it's incredible what they can do today with all the modern tools, but back in the 50s/early 60s they were doing all this stuff with vacuum tubes. They have a Motorola with an ear...
