The Pens' Management System
Oh yeah, that's not uncommon...if they have a player that someone in the organization is familiar with, they'll ask...that normally extends to players too...they'd ask a player like Paul Martin or whoever..."hey what do you think of Steve Bernier...what was he like in the room...?" etc. But the ordi...

Do you have the right nine there? I don't think Burkle and Morehouse, in particular, are involved much in personnel moves other than the big money stuff...stuff where a lot of money moves in or out...and Lemieux never struck me as hands on... So we have what, Rutherford, Botterill, Guerin, Fitzgera...

I can see where that interpretation exists...but I didn't quite read it that way myself... Having a lot of input like this is not uncommon in an organization...even if the titles aren't the same...powers that be sit at a big table and discuss and evaluate and everyone weighs in. Obviously, some have...

How is Sundqvist's team doing in the playoffs? I'd like to see him come to North America for the playoffs as well. Sundqvist has 5 points and a plus-5 in 9 games, playing top six minutes and special teams time. His team, Skelleftea, swept their first round series vs. Brynas, stomped Linkping in 5.....

We can get up to 9 NHL games out of him without burning a year or counting towards a year of service. Just for informational purposes, I'm not necessarily in favor of that course of action...

Yup, that's another good one. Big, dumb hockey players get bucks. At least Engo and Bort are RHS, so they fill a quota, so to speak...Sbisa is LHS...he could easily be improved upon for under a $1 million...

Luca Sbisa got 3 years, $3.6 million from Vancouver. And I thought, "hmm, he didn't embarrass himself this year like usual...good for him to take the job security and stay in the league like that..." then it turned out to be $3.6 PER year...that's brutal. I'd rather have Luke Schenn at $3.6 then thi...

Well, you can always go conventional buyout with Rob Scuderi. For the people that don't like him the most, you could make the claim that he's already dead cap space. A savvy shopper could replace what he brings to the ice skill-wise for under a buck and a half... Adam Pardy for instance...Korbinian ...

Can Letang be an option? Hopefully not...teams don't win without a #1 d-man. Letang's health has proven to be an issue. He is no help to us sitting in the press box. Assuming that information is true, would it be accurate to say that we aren't going to get full market value for him...? I'll take 80...

Yeah, I'm very supportive of the team because I saw what was built differently - both personnel and structure - and thought that we really had something...and we might...we might...the last few weeks there has been an uptick in work rate, especially from the captain...he steers us toward a lead befo...

Not for people that are of the mindset that if you're giving up the best player in the deal, then you've lost the deal...which would unquestionably be the case here... Is there ever a time when this isn't going to be the case? At what point does their age matter vs. cap structure vs. team needs? I'...
