SC Governor had another press conference, with a record 24 deaths. He's pleading for people to be smart this weekend, otherwise he will not lift the last of the executive order halting spectator sports - which would include college and high school football. Earlier this week, high school off season...

So Edmonton and Toronto it is for the hubs. Canada won't understand what that big shiny trophy is being awarded on their soil since it's only happened once in the last 26 years.

Tha F? They were just running a bunch of ads during the NASCAR race yesterday...for a golf tourney not coming for months. Seems an odd time to jump ship. I think there was always a time that Fox wanted to get out but they exercised their option after 2018 anyway. With both Opens happening after foo...

Adjust your DVR's accordingly. NBC has regained the US Open as well as all the other USGA events effective immediately after Fox bailed on the contract. So now you don't have to listen to Joe Buck call golf anymore.

Sooooo, I reported back at the end of February that Golf Channel was moving its operations to Stamford in the near future and we'd find out more at a later date. Monday was that later date. The gist of the deal is that our office closes its doors on December 31 and we're all layed off, though some o...

I had 5 3’s on the card today (looked like my old basketball days) including making par on all four par 3’s. I followed each 3 with a 6. As someone said above, effin golf.

Summer solstice

Good solstice on this end. Right as the solstice hit us, my pick in the Belmont sprung from the gate on his way to a convincing victory. That came after I popped off a 10-mile bike ride, which is on the longer end of my journeys. After the race, I scarfed down a calzone from my favorite local pizza ...

Nick Watney becomes the first player to test positive for Covid at an event. He missed the cut last week and didn't travel on the charter. He tested negative to start the week but then woke up this morning feeling the symptoms. He got checked out and boom, tested positive. So, he somehow caught it i...

I'm not so sure Florida has any idea what they're doing. And that doesn't point to just COVID-19. I mean in general. You're not wrong. I thought we were jumping the gun by reopening everything when we did. I thought it should have waited another week or two. When I was in Jax Beach last week for th...

Chychrun spent a good amount of time in Hershey during his AHL days. Every game, there was a banner on the railing in the upper corner that said 'Chychrun's Rooster Boosters'. To me, the NHL putting both conferences in the Western timezone would severely hamstring their scheduling. You figure that y...

I'm super stoked for the 30 for 30 on the McGwire/Sosa summer tonight So what did you think? I remembered a good amount of that chase so it was more of a reminder about how the HRs played out over the course of the season, especially September and the race up to 62. From a TV standpoint, I have a f...

A little surprised to come in here and not see any mention of the play at Colonial. Are y'all not able to watch? You should be since the leaderboard looks better than some majors. Two somewhat periphery things that always strike me about that goal: 1. Pens basically scored that goal shorthanded. After Kunitz dumped the puck to Schultz at the blue line, he skated to the bench for the change. By the time he hit the door and his replacement hit the ice, the puck was in the net. ...

The offense can finally get down to face-to-face business of implementing the plan under the new OC. Hopefully everyone tests negative and as things continue to get phased in, we can look forward to an uninterrupted season.

It's a good night to be a Penguins fan on NBCSN. Tonite at 7, they're showing Game 6 from 2009 followed by Game 7 at 9:00. Then, they're showing the championship film at 11. No Pittsburgh bias there. =)

Fire em all if they want to resign from their jobs. Call their bluff like Reagan did with the air traffic controllers and MLB did with the umpires in the mid 90s. Them standing in solidarity is the big problem in these bad cop scenarios.

I would have leaned toward Bennett as well but since he's no longer on the roster, I'd have gone with Bjugstad.

As for the reseeding situation, I think that's the right move after the qualification round but after that, I think you keep it a straight bracket.

We're due back in the office on June 8 leading into Colonial week. I'll be at Sawgrass for the re-opening of the Korn Ferry Tour that week.
