Rumor mill on the PL pay site is X and Toney have been at odds with Champaigne over some off the court stuff and it has gotten to a boiling point and exploded. And Capel took Champaigne's side and stuck up for him.

But this is a mess.

2020-2021 Pittsburgh Super Panthers Sports Thread

I'm not ready to write Capel off yet. He had a tough job, and that first class of XJ, Toney, and McGowens was thrown together last minute. Carr was leaving regardless because Pitt was such a mess. I think people get these notions in their head that everything is easy and there should be quick turnar...

my reaction to this news sums up my reaction to pitt hoops in general. he was a good player but also very counter productive, resulting in less than desirable results. did not get better in 3 seasons. the team will be worse without him, yet the team was not good with him. that statement doesn't mak...

COVID-19

Anyone in Westmoreland Co have any luck getting a shot? My dad's been working through all of this (grocery distribution), and while rather healthy, has high blood pressure. 2 coworkers tested positive. Trying to get him an appointment, but not having any luck. mac, my parents (82, 78) were able to ...

COVID-19

So, I was standing in line at the post office yesterday. The old dude in front of me was talking to me about COVID. I learned that I really did not have COVID when I tested postive last year. If I truly had COVID I would have been in the ICU or dead. Anyone else with lesser symptoms only really got ...

I was never into the Maddens and those type of sports games. I enjoyed the more cartoonish ones if I did play them. Baseball Stars, Punch out, Blitz, Blades of Steel, NBA Jam, etc. I think the only "serious" if you will sports game I ever put a bunch of time in was Tiger Woods golf 2004 or something.

My list of my all time favorites, and it doesn't have to mean they were with the team for the majority of their career or whatever, but as guys that contributed and just stick out to me: All time best Lemiuex, Jagr, Crosby, Malkin, Francis Up there (spent majority of career with Pens and were big co...

Trottier has always looked like an old man, IMO.
What's funny though, he looks the same at 65 year old as he did at 35.

He is a young looking 65 year old, but was an old looking 35 year old.

mikey's Thread of Penguin Randomness

Btw, with Trottier, I remember when I was a kid, in 1991 I thought he was "old" with the way he looked physcially. But in reality, he was only 1 year older than Malkin is now, and 2 years older than Sid at that time. And I still see Sid/Geno as "young" with regard to how they look physically. How pe...

No love for Bryan Trottier? 6 cups as a player... Lemieux, Crosby and Jagr should be the three best players that have played for the Pens almost however you count... He's great, but to me he's an Islander. He only spent 2 1/2 years as a Penguin. It was great he won the cup in 2 of those. He's more ...

Greatest players to play for the Penguins: 1. Lemieux 2. Jagr 3. Crosby That's a given, right? Greatest players as a Penguin...? Or just anyone who put on the uniform for us...? Assuming the former, it's Mario, Crosby, Jagr for me, in that order. Three top 20 players in the history of the game... I...

I know there was some talk about the NES Lego set in here late last year/earlier this year. Well my wife and I took the plunge and got it this past weekend and put it together. We had to wait in line at Ross Park Mall to get into the Lego store on Saturday, but it was worth the wait. I know it's ex...

Hughley playing Gone in 60 Seconds definitely hurts, but even then he wasn’t necessarily a defensive presence in the paint. Competent defending from a big man has been lacking since Capel showed up and he’s been unable to fix it. Yeah, he wouldn't be a huge factor, but he would have given us some m...

My 79 year old father - with a host of medical issues typical of that age - reports no adverse symptoms, other than he’s thirsty. To remedy this, he began his afternoon with a good scotch. So there’s that. He got the Pfizer vaccine, fwiw.

I have been enjoying the NES/SNES games on Switch. I just replayed Link 2. It's funny, I didn't have much of an issue with the game and felt it wasn't as hard as I remembered, all until I got to the run-up to Ganon's castle. Absurdly difficult. Those bird knights that jump all over the place and sh...

At a news conference Thursday, PennDOT executives agreed that the state’s gas tax is no longer a viable funding source. Diminished gas tax revenue during the pandemic as people are driving much less, is just one concern. “Our reliance on funding models from the last century leaves us especially vul...
